Gallery Fifty Six is a fine art gallery featuring one of the largest selections of art by local artists from the Mid-South. Located within walking distance of other Palladio Group shops, Gallery Fifty Six features monthly shows that include established, emerging, and guest artists from the United States and abroad.
A wide variety of painting styles are exhibited at Gallery Fifty Six, including realism, abstracts, surrealism, landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, photography, floral, folk and narrative art. The artists of Gallery Fifty Six use a variety of media including oils, acrylics, pastel, collage, fiber, and printmaking techniques. Recently, the gallery has included ceramic and assemblage sculptures.

Gallery Fifty Six is conveniently located in art-centric Midtown Memphis in the Cooper-Young district. The gallery is near the intersection of Cooper and Central, not far from Christian Brother’s University.
Most artist receptions are on the first Friday of each month from 5 to 8 PM. The artist reception is a chance for the public to meet the artist and view the art at the opening of the exhibition. Receptions are free and open to the public.
